As the world’s population grows and earth’s resources continue to get depleted, it has become more important than ever to consider using alternative forms of protein for human consumption. The modern consumer has evolved into one that is ethically conscious about how food choices affect the environment and global sustainable development goals. In 2019, Mintel Research found that 16% of US consumers avoid animal products for environmental concerns. This reasoning is much more prevalent among millennials, who are driving the shift away from traditional meat.
As ardent advocates of the Singapore Government’s “30 by 30” initiative, HerbYvore’s mission is to develop a strong footprint within the plant-based food space to offer a range of sustainable, nutritious and locally produced food products for end consumers.
In 2019, our parent company Agrocorp, invested into a new high tech dry protein fractionation plant in Canada, with the end-product (protein isolate) sold into global food manufacturing and pet food markets. As a global food company with strong existing customer relationships, sourcing and sales capabilities, Agrocorp is well poised to be a leader within the adjacent category of pea protein processing.
Envisioning the sustainable workplace of the future!

It’s our internal target to power 100% of operations in Singapore using renewable energy by 2023.
CSR activities and community outreach
We have implemented a traceability system that tracks the sources of seeds, farm, and plants to help our customers better understand their food supply chain. The peas used are sourced from farmers in Canada whom we contract, and we use it to produce the protein at our own processing facilities.
